RSA SecurID使用RSA SecurID双因数验证架构提供验证和访问控制。
 
RSA Authentication Manager和RSA Authentication Agents使用对称密钥（node secret）保护网络通信，但是根据RSA标准，因为受影响产品使用弱密钥和过时的加密算法存储node secret，所以已经被视作无效。本地攻击者可利用此漏洞窃听网络通信，甚至修改通信内容。
