gedit默认只能UTF-8编码的文件，通过gconf可以设置其编码检测的编码列表，以达到自动识别编码的效果。

gconftool-2 --set --type=list --list-type=string /apps/gedit-2/preferences/encodings/auto_detected "[UTF-8,CURRENT,GBK,BIG5-HKSCS,UTF-16]"
