红旗RedFlag6安装Nvidia Geforce4 MX4000显卡驱纪实

Linux 在装显卡驱动这一关，经常会难到小鸟们。

这一关，就把高手和菜鸟划开一道分水岭。

第一步，下载对应于自已的显卡的驱动。比如我的就是Nvidia Geforce4 MX4000

打开下面的网页，有点慢：

填写搜索关键字：

第二步

右击它，用迅雷下载吧

第三步，安装，上面都说了：

Type "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.07-pkg1.run" to install the driver. NVIDIA now provides a utility to assist you with configuration of your X server configuration file. Please see Chapter 3 of the README or run 'man nvidia-xconfig' for details on usage. Instructions for those wishing to edit their X config file by hand can also be found in the README.

第四步，进行安装

如果一次也没有进入过x window 界面，那是最好。

我通过修改 xconfig ，使用内置显卡驱动vesa 进入了图形界面，只是闪烁得很厉害。

好的，我再次进入红旗redflag 6 sp1 图形界面，将在windowsXP中下载的NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.07-pkg1.run复制到redflag的桌面上（实际上就是一个文件夹啦）

启动终端(redflag 默认为root目录，权限很高，这一点不比Ubuntu人性化），输入命令：

init 3

回车进入文本界面，要求输入登录名和密码

name：root

pass: 你自已知道啦

执行命令：

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.07-pkg1.run

全部是英文，大意是，先要接受协议，选yes,然后提示没有对应的kernel支持，是否到网站去下载，选择：No
